Born and raised in Nashville, TN, Roy Smith Jr. entered the exciting world of the food business at the age of 13. Working with my father at Shakey’s Pizza Parlor for 9+ years, I learned lots about Product Quality, Customer Service, Sanitation Standards, and what I now think is the most important part —PEOPLE! Not just Guest, but Team Members as well!

In 1985, I started a career with O’Charley’s Restaurants. In the 16 years, I served as the Assistant Manager, General Manager, Area Supervisor, and finally a Operating Partner.

In 2001, I decided to take all that I have learned and open my own establishment, the Cumberland Grille. We have been serving the Clarksville and surrounding counties for over 14 years.
